WORLD NO.1

Rolf-Goran Bengtsson (SWE) is the new FEI Rolex World number one jumping rider. This is the first time in his career that he has made it to pole position. He will be 50 years old this year. This is also the first time for Sweden. The latest official rankings released today, show that Bengtsson has knocked Eric Lamaze into second place. A place which Lamaze has held since June of last year.

Bengtsson won individual European gold in Madrid last year (with Ninja La Silla) and individual silver at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
