Ludo Philipaerts announced in Mechelen about the creation of a fund that will enable them to invest in top horses. According to Philippaerts many top Belgian horses are sold very quickly for a lot of money to foreign countries(Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Canada and Ukraine). This is reducing the opportunity for up and coming promising Belgian riders.
In the BSF(Belgish Springpaarden Fond) which is the Belgian Jumping horse Fund, established as a co-operative, with the introduction of 12 horses horses between the ages of five and nine years old. The twelve horses are all owned primarily by Philippaerts. Keen horse lovers who are interested may invest in these top horses. By encouraging young equestrians to invest more, as he believes they will be able to keep them in Belgium.
