Good news for Gregory Wathelet (BEL) as he has the opportunity to compete in the London Olympics with a borrowed horse. He has the use of the 10 year old bay mare Cadjanine Z(Canabis Z X Feinschnitt I Z) until August of this year. This mare was previously ridden by Patrick Spits(BEL) who said his chances of competing in the London Olympics are small. The London Olympics are less than 200 days away.

Wathelet won the Mechelen world cup qualifer at the end of last year with his only grand prix mount at the time, only to lose the ride of Copin a few hours later as Marcus Ehning(GER) became Copin's new pilot. Wathelet recently changed his nationality back to Belgium after competing for the Ukraine for a few years. The 35 year old competed again for the first time in a nations cup for Belgium in 2010 after changing his nationality back.
