In what appears to be a freak heart attack, Ben Mahers promising 5 year old stallion Balvaro(Calvaro xLord Z). Ben writes on his Facebook page that he had 'heart attack at home'. 'We are all devastated that he is gone' states Ben. Balvaro was owned by Mike and Emma Phillips at the Quainton Stud. He was being petitioned for the 2016 Olympics having been bought from the Netherlands earlier this year.
